2. PURPOSES

This manual is published in compliance with Section 51 of PAIA to give effect to the constitutional right

of access to information. It sets out the structure for how Silver Spectrum Solutions (Pty) Ltd manages,

provides, and safeguards information while balancing privacy, confidentiality, and commercial rights.

3. INTRODUCTION

Silver Spectrum Solutions (Pty) Ltd is a private company incorporated under South African law. It

provides Technology, Data, AI, Analytics, Software and Consulting Services and Solutions.

As a private body, Silver Spectrum Solutions (Pty) Ltd is required by PAIA to make this manual available

so that:

▪ Individuals and entities can request access to information in a structured, compliant

way.

9. PROCEDURE FOR REQUESTING ACCESS

▪ Requests must be made on Form 2 (2021 Regulations), available at:

▪ Requests must be submitted in writing to the Information Officer or Deputy Information

Officer.

▪ Requests must include sufficient detail to identify the records required.

▪ Fees may apply (request fee and access fee).

10. CONSIDERATION OF REQUESTS

▪ Silver Spectrum Solutions (Pty) Ltd will respond within 30 days of receiving the

request.

▪ The 30-day period may be extended in circumstances allowed under PAIA.

11. GROUNDS FOR REFUSAL

Silver Spectrum Solutions (Pty) Ltd may refuse access if disclosure would: –

▪ Violate personal privacy (Section 63).

▪ Reveal third-party confidential information (Section 64).

▪ Endanger life, safety, or property (Section 66).

▪ Reveal privileged legal documents (Section 67).

▪ Prejudice Silver Spectrum Solutions commercial interests (Section 68)

12. HOW ACCESS WILL BE GRANTED

Access may be given in the form requested (copies, inspection, electronic format) unless impractical.

13. REMEDIES IN CASE OF REFUSAL

▪ There is no internal appeal process for private bodies.

▪ Requesters may lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator or approach a court

of law.
